JOB VACANCIES WITH KBIS
We're Looking for Someone Special to Join Our Team
SIL House Manager / Team Leader
Palmview, Sunshine Coast
Full-Time – Approximately 38 Hours per Week
A little about us...
At KB Infinity Support, we're a family-owned disability support business, and being family-oriented is at the heart of everything we do.
We're not a large organisation where people are just another number. We genuinely know the people we support, their families and the teams who work alongside them.
We believe that good disability support is about so much more than providing care. It's about building relationships, understanding people as individuals, celebrating their achievements, supporting them through challenges and making sure they have every opportunity to live a happy and fulfilling life.
We work closely with families and allied health professionals because we believe the best outcomes happen when everyone works together.
And just as importantly, we believe in looking after our staff, creating a positive working environment and building a team that genuinely cares about what they do.
So, who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone pretty special.
Someone who shares our passion for disability support and understands that running a SIL home isn't just about managing shifts, completing paperwork or making sure everything gets done.
It's about people.
We're looking for an experienced House Manager who genuinely wants to become part of our business for the long term. Someone who takes pride in their work, cares about the little things and understands that those little things often make the biggest difference.
We want someone who can lead a team with kindness and confidence, who isn't afraid to have difficult conversations when needed, and who understands the importance of consistency, accountability and professional boundaries.
Someone who can see when something needs doing and takes the initiative to do it.
Someone who doesn't just identify problems but thinks about solutions and follows things through.
And someone who can bring their own experience, ideas and personality to the role while sharing the values that make our business what it is.
What will your role look like?
This is a hands-on management position based at our SIL home in Palmview.
You'll spend some of your working week directly supporting participants, getting to know them, understanding their routines and building those important relationships.
The remainder of your time will be dedicated to managing the home, supporting your team and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of disability support workers.
-
Conducting staff supervisions, identifying training needs and helping staff grow in their roles.
-
Creating a positive team environment where everyone feels supported but also understands their responsibilities.
-
Working closely with participants, families and allied health professionals.
-
Overseeing participant routines, support plans and individual goals.
-
Completing quarterly reports, risk assessments and other important documentation.
-
Maintaining WHS requirements and ensuring NDIS standards and organisational procedures are followed.
-
Managing day-to-day house operations and assisting with rostering and staffing matters.
-
Responding to incidents, concerns and changes in participant needs.
-
Using computer systems confidently and being willing to learn new software.
-
Taking ownership of responsibilities and keeping communication open with management.
You'll also participate in our on-call roster for approximately one week per month, including the weekend.
A few things that really matter to us...
We value initiative.
We're looking for someone who can work independently, think ahead and recognise what needs attention without always waiting to be asked.
We value relationships.
Our participants and their families place an enormous amount of trust in us. We want someone who understands how important that trust is and takes the time to build and maintain those relationships.
We value our team.
We want a leader who supports their staff, recognises their strengths, helps them develop and creates a workplace where people enjoy coming to work.
We value accountability.
We all make mistakes and face challenges. What matters is how we respond, communicate, learn and work together to make things better.
And we value commitment.
We're hoping to find someone who sees this as an opportunity to settle into a meaningful role, grow with our business and become someone our participants, families and team can rely on.
What experience will you need?
While personality and values are incredibly important to us, this is a management position, and we do need someone with the right experience and skills.
We're looking for someone who has:
-
Previous experience in a management or leadership position.
-
A strong understanding of the NDIS and disability support.
-
Experience supervising, mentoring and training staff.
-
Excellent administration, organisation and computer skills.
-
Confidence completing reports, risk assessments and workplace documentation.
-
A sound understanding of WHS and compliance responsibilities.
-
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
-
The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
-
Flexibility, reliability and a genuine commitment to their role.
What can you expect from us?
You'll be joining a family-owned business where your contribution matters and your ideas are welcome.
You'll work closely with management and have the opportunity to make a real difference, not only to the lives of the people we support but also to the team you lead.
We want this to be a rewarding role where you feel trusted, supported and proud of what you achieve.
Position: Full-Time, approximately 38 hours per week, combining hands-on support with dedicated management hours.
On-call: Approximately one week per month, including weekend coverage.
Remuneration: Attractive remuneration package negotiated based on qualifications and experience, with applicable on-call arrangements and entitlements confirmed.
Finally, a little message from us...
We know that finding the right person is about more than qualifications and experience. It's about finding someone who genuinely cares, shares our values and wants to be part of something meaningful. We've put a lot of heart into building KB Infinity Support, and we're looking for someone who will bring that same care, dedication and pride to their role.
